The CCA Santa Barbara Chapter held a very informative rockfish seminar for their members on February 12th at the Creekside Restaurant!

Captain Jason Diamond was the main speaker, who gave quite the seminar, going over effective ways to fish, both from a private boat and a sport boat. Diamond also went over great techniques for going after a variety of species including lingcod, vermilion reds, sheephead, and ocean white fish.

Also brought up was how important conservation is to the ground fish fishery, along with proper techniques to successfully release short rockfish back to depth by using a release device, along with other effective ways to successfully release ground fish.

A big thank you to Captain Jason and Jaime Diamond for putting on a fantastic seminar, along with Chapter President Tiffany Vague, Vice President Hank Goebel, and the rest of our Santa Barbara Chapter.
