Opposition for AB3030 Needed!

A good-intentioned bill designed to protect our natural resources could have unexpected consequences for recreational fishermen.

Officially known as AB 3030, this sweeping bill would set a goal of conserving at least 30% of California’s lands and waters by 2030. While every angler understands the importance of conservation, this goal has already been achieved by California’s existing laws – and at or more than the 30% goal.

This proposed law is unnecessary and could potentially restrict recreational fishing in California by leading to the creation of new closed areas.. In fact, the sponsors of the legislation have not yet eliminated this possibility.

Tell your Assembly Member today that California doesn’t need AB 3030.
