The 2020 Channel Islands Chapter Calibut Challenge went off pretty well for most anglers in the tournament as big fish were caught! A total of 25 anglers fishing the Channel Islands had much luck, turning in multiple big halibut and big bass to Channel Islands Sportfishing. There were a total of 3 divisions: Biggest Calico, Biggest Halibut, and Biggest Other Fish, and both kayaks and boats were all competing against each other. The winners of each division are below:
Biggest Calico: Pat Shibata – 4.8#
Biggest Halibut: Robert Ferguson – 19.7#
Biggest Other Fish: John Jensen – 8.4# sheephead
All calico bass were weighed in and released alive.
