The CCA Inland Empire and Orange County Chapters are hosting “A Day on the Bay with CCA: Part 2!” on Saturday July 25th! We are inviting all anglers to fish with us from 7am to 12pm. Registration is $25 per angler, and we ask that all anglers please register by July 24th. Waters and goodies are included with your entry fee, and all proceeds will go to CCA California!

All division winners will be determined by the length of each individual fish. Winners will be announced virtually on the CCA California Facebook page on July 25th around 12:15pm.


  • All anglers are allowed to fish from kayaks, boats, float tubes, shore, jetties or anything else that floats.
  • All anglers must fish within the parameters of Newport Harbor. No fishing shall take place outside of the bay.
  • All participants must follow all guidelines set forth by the County of Orange, including maintaining social distancing guidelines at all times.
  • All scores must be submitted between the hours of 7am and 12pm via the Discord Mobile Application, via the event thread. It is the angler’s responsibility to confirm that their score was successfully submitted to the correct thread.
  • All valid submissions must have the fish in front of a clear measuring device. Acceptable measuring devices include Hawg Troughs, CDFW measuring tape, cooler with measuring units, or tape measure, with clear units of measurement. All pictured fish must have their mouths closed. Submit your picture of your fish on the #day-in-the-bay-with-cca thread.
  • In the event of a tie, the submission that was received first via the Discord thread shall win.
  • Live bait and artificial bait is permitted.
  • Sharks and rays are not permitted in the “Largest Other Fish” category.
  • This event is not a tournament, and is solely for “bragging rights”.
  • All participants and anglers must remain respectful to other participants at all times.
  • All anglers must adhere to all regulations set forth by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, and also must adhere to all rules and regulations enforced by the U.S. Coast Guard pertaining to watercraft.
